Alocasias have a reputation.

Beautiful leaves? Yes.
A little dramatic? Also yes.
Worth it anyway? Absolutely.

These Juvenile Alocasias are a great middle ground if you want an alocasia that is already a bit more established, but still compact enough to enjoy watching it grow. They are further along than starter plants, with more presence on the shelf, but they are not full-size plants trying to take over your whole setup.

Each plant is potted in a self-watering cup with Lechuza Pon and slow-release fertilizer, which helps make care feel a lot less intimidating.

The self-watering cup helps keep moisture more consistent.
The Pon gives the roots a chunky, airy growing medium.
The slow-release fertilizer provides gentle nutrients over time.

Basically, it is an alocasia with a support system. We love that for them.

This is a great option if you have been wanting to try alocasias but do not want to start with a tiny plant. It is also perfect if you already love alocasias and want a smaller one that is ready to keep growing.

Each juvenile plant may vary slightly in size, leaf count, shape, and variety. That is part of the fun. Alocasias like to keep things interesting, because apparently just being beautiful was not enough.

Care Notes

Place in bright, indirect light. Keep warm and away from cold drafts.

Refill the water reservoir as needed, but avoid keeping it constantly overfilled. Alocasias like consistency, but their roots still appreciate airflow and breathing room.

Some leaf yellowing or adjustment can happen as the plant settles into a new home. Rude? Yes. Automatically a disaster? No. Alocasias are just committed to making sure we stay humble.

Good To Know

This setup is beginner-friendlier, not completely hands-off. Good light, warmth, and regular check-ins still matter.

Pet Safety

Alocasias are toxic to pets if chewed or ingested. Please keep away from curious pets and tiny household chaos gremlins.
