With its large, upright leaves and bold tropical look, this plant makes an easy statement without needing a shelf full of tiny plants to do the job. Although, realistically, there is always room for one more tiny plant too.

White Bird of Paradise plants are loved for their lush, banana-like foliage and their ability to add height and greenery to a space. Unlike the more familiar Orange Bird of Paradise, this variety can produce elegant white flowers with deep blue accents when mature. Flowering indoors is uncommon, but the dramatic foliage makes it a beautiful statement plant even without blooms.

Care Guide

Light: Bright indirect light is best. It can tolerate some gentle direct sun, especially in the morning.
Water: Water when the top 2–3 inches of soil feel dry. Allow excess water to drain fully.
Humidity: Average household humidity is usually fine, but it appreciates a little extra humidity.
Growth habit: Upright and fast-growing with the right light. The mature leaves may naturally develop splits along the edges, which helps the plant handle wind in its native environment.
